Have you visited Palms Court Harborview? We'd love to know what you think...

My husband and I were traveling for five days and on a budget, so we chose to stay somewhere we could save money to have more funds for shopping and entertainment. As such, we booked a room at Palms Court. Big mistake!
We can't even begin to tell you how gross and unpleasant it was. It was dirty, smelly, old, water logged, musty, dusty and downright dilapidated. Even the staff was disengaged and couldn't care less about making us more comfortable.
We stayed one night because it was too late to make other arrangements. The next morning we got to work finding another place. Of course, we would have loved to stay at one of the resorts, but they were so expensive! Instead, we sought out other budget-friendly accommodations. So we wouldn't be stuck somewhere we wouldn't enjoy, we set out early to view a couple of places in the downtown area, and settled on staying at the place that was actually my second choice.
What fools we were! The place that was our second choice was actually way better than our first choice. Folks, don't let them fool you. Palms Court sucks! We ended up staying at the Bunker Hill Hotel for the remainder of our stay, and enjoyed every minute of it. Although the Bunker Hill was not located in the best area, it was only two blocks from shopping and the restaurant Nirvana, and was just as safe as any other city's downtown area.
The place was clean, and the employees were friendly and helpful. Best of all, it was cheaper than the Palms Court.

It was peaceful with a great view.Visited: July 2006

This hotel was off the beaten path. It was not a beach-front hotel, but was set at the top of hill with a great view of harbor. I received very good service.

My experience at this hotel....Visited: April 2002

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the experience to be quite unpleasant at first. The staff was not as courteous as I would expect considering I was about to spend close to $700.00 for the privilege of staying there. However, I did find the rooms to be quite comfortable. They passed my so-called hotel test. Meaning, if you can walk into the bathroom barefooted and not cringe at the thought of it, then it's usually a decent place to stay. I priced some of the cheaper hotels also. Word to the wise....If you stay at some of those other places to save money, GOD have mercy on your soul!! You'll see when you get there.
In any case, I'm pretty picky when it comes to cleanliness and comfort and I would recommend this hotel to travelers despite my run-in with the reception staff.
